Receptionist- Maternity Cover job summary

The East Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) is a 2-19 generic special school with 435 pupils on roll. The East SILC is a complex organisation which operates on a variety of sites to provide a range of outreach services across the city, including partnerships with primary and secondary providers, the city-wide Physical Difficulties and Medical Service including a moving and handling service, as well as the Medical Needs Teaching Service for Leeds.

Due to maternity cover an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time receptionist to work at the East SILC. The post is temporary, to start October 2024.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills combined with a positive, calm and welcoming manner. Well-developed organisational and IT skills are essential and they will be a competent user of Microsoft Office and Outlook. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative. Experience of SIMS would be advantageous

Appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS formally CRB) and medical clearance from Leeds City Council’s Occupational Health Service.
