Receptionist Position
Milton Road Primary School
Pay Scale: 1 Point 2-3 (FTE-£22,366-£22,737) pro rata.
Hours: Part Time 19 hours per week / Wednesday afternoon from 12.30 to 4pm, Thursday and Friday all day from 8.15am – 4pm.
When: Term time only including training days pro-rated.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our School Office Team as we continue to enhance our talented crew, at Milton Road Primary School. We are looking for an excellent Receptionist to help welcome our community to the school, to work cohesively with a job share partner, and to be part of a productive team that also includes a Office Administrator and the Office Manager.
Qualities and Skills Required
Provide a friendly welcome to the school’s community of pupils, Parents, Carers, Governors and every other visitor.
Ensure that all visitors check in on arrival using our E-Reception book, ask for DBS documentation and hand out the relevant lanyards to visitors.
Ensures all communication, by phone, email or in person, is delivered to the standard required by the School.
Undertake any other duties that are within the scope of the post, as determined by the Office Manager or Headteacher.
Work in an effective and productive way with your job share partner to ensure all tasks are complete and met within the appropriate time frame.
Deal with requests from staff, pupils, Parents, Carers, and other visitors throughout the day.
Complete all morning and afternoon registers, and record daily pupil attendance data.
Support the production of attendance data to help analyse trends and highlight areas of concern for follow up.
Supports the wider office team in administrative tasks to help ensure a smooth running of front office and school procedures, and respond to correspondence and emails on behalf of the school and Headteacher.
Work closely with the Office Manager to discuss actions and ensure all are complete prior to the end of your working week, and work effectively with your job share partner to guarantee all work is fulfilled.
