Receptionist & Office Administrator job summary
English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College is looking to appoint a Receptionist & Office Administrator.
As a Receptionist and Office Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors, playing a vital role in creating a positive and professional impression of the school. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, approachable, and confident in managing a variety of administrative tasks in a busy environment.
You will be responsible for managing the school’s reception area, answering calls, greeting visitors, and handling enquiries with warmth and efficiency. Alongside front-of-house duties, you will support the wider administrative team with tasks such as maintaining pupil records, processing correspondence, managing appointments, and assisting with attendance and data entry.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively are essential. You’ll also be expected to uphold safeguarding and confidentiality standards at all times, ensuring that the school operates smoothly and securely.
This is a rewarding and varied role that combines customer service with administrative support, making a significant contribution to the daily life and success of the school community.
