Recovery Teacher - Y5 and Y6 job summary

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and flexible teacher from February 2022 to plan, teach and use assessment to close gaps in learning for targeted groups of children. This may take the form of consistent ‘booster’ groups with children from Years 6 and 5.

You will have a secure knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and Age Related Expectations for the end of Key Stage 2. You will have high expectations for pupils’ achievement and the skills to differentiate teaching and learning for pupils of all abilities and needs. Key to the role is the ability to identify gaps in or barriers to learning and address these to secure understanding in an efficient and effective manner.

As a school, we are committed to providing children with a safe, stimulating and positive learning culture. We aim for the children’s learning experiences to be engaging, creative and thought provoking. We believe every child deserves excellent teaching and curriculum provision that allows for them to grow in confidence and independence.

As a professional and dedicated staff team we track the progress of each child and intervene to target additional support to ensure our high standards of progress and behaviour are maintained. We work in partnership with parents and the wider community for success.

Commitment to safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
