Recruitment Manager (hybrid working - flexible base location) job summary
Salary: Grade G (£28,770 to £32,076 per annum, full time equivalent)
Hours: 37 hours per week, all year round
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid working – mainly home based but will involve regular travel to all our academies and occasional travel outside of the Trust
We are creating a new Recruitment Team within our Trust People Directorate and are seeking to appoint an exceptional Recruitment Manager, to lead a small team of Recruitment Administrators in delivering a first-class recruitment and onboarding service to our academies. You will provide knowledgeable, proactive, agile and customer focused advice and guidance to recruiting managers on a range of recruitment matters, including supporting the preparation of job descriptions, draft interview questions and assessments. You will also utilise the Trust’s Applicant Tracking System and HR Information System to create reports and undertake statistical analysis to improve the recruitment process which may include quality of hire and time to offer.
This role would suit an experienced recruiter with a real passion to provide a high-quality recruitment administration service to our academies. Previous experience in education is not necessarily required but a solid understanding of the challenges of recruitment within the education sector is essential, as is the ability to develop and manage effective working relationships with internal recruiting managers to ensure their needs are met as much as possible. Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with external recruitment sources e.g. agencies, would be an advantage, along with evidence of proactively using social media and other online resourcing methods.
Previous experience of providing a similar service to customers would be an advantage. Full training in safer recruitment will be given.
The role will involve supporting the academies with their recruitment and onboarding process to ensure that candidates receive an excellent experience. The role will mainly be office based (which can be from home) but there will be a requirement to travel to all our academies and occasionally to participate in recruitment fairs at other locations.
The Active Learning Trust is a Trust based across Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, serving over 9000 children, with 1500 employees. We are a family of 19 academies, supported by a central team and are highly committed to recruiting and retaining talented individuals to work in our academies.
