A full-time permanent role from 1st September 2025

Hours of work: 8:00am to 3:50pm, term time plus 5 days

Salary: SCP 17 – 19 (£26,260 - £27,140 actual salary)

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a supervisor for our reflections room. This is an integral component of our behaviour management system, both as a sanction for any poor student behaviour, but also to aid reflection and avoid any future similar issues. At present, there is capacity for a maximum of six students, but we are in the process of exploring plans to expand the facility to provide additional space so that there is more room to work with students on a one to one basis. We are looking for an individual who is used to working with young people and who will build effective working relationships with them, as well as holding them to account for their behaviour choices. This is an ideal role for those with pastoral experience, those wanting to gain such experience or those considering joining the teaching profession.

The Hathershaw College is a very successful and oversubscribed 11-16 Academy within the Pinnacle Learning Trust. We are also well located with good public transport links and excellent access to the motorway network.
