Regional Finance Business Partner - London job summary

Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) has an exciting opportunity available for a Regional Finance Business Partner to join our team and oversee our London region.

This is a critical role in our Central Finance team. The successful applicant will provide operational leadership, financial management and support and advice for the individual academies that fall within the Region. They will contribute, as a senior finance and operational member of the Trust, to ensure that efficient and effective operation and business management is conducted by academies within the Region and to support their (and the Trust's) opportunities for future growth/expansion. The Trust views this role as central to academy improvement and effectiveness.

The successful applicant will work from home with a requirement to visit the academies in your region on a frequent (minimum 4 times per week) basis. In addition, you may need to travel to other locations and attend meetings in either our Birmingham or Wolverhampton offices where there is a business need.

To be successful in the role, you must have significant recent experience of leading business partnering, financial support and advice functions and services, as well as exceptional business case financial appraisal and modelling skills. You must have experience of having worked in the education sector and/or with/within local authorities and experience of developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across multiple locations. A professional qualification in accounting CCAB or equivalent is essential. You must be able to work well within and across teams and have a willingness to embrace and celebrate the ethos and values of OAT. A full job description and person specification is attached.
