Salary: Grade C £18,516 – £19,264 per annum pro rata

St. Augustine’s School
St. Augustine’s has been successful over many years and is consistently oversubscribed. We invest heavily in our staff development and celebrate sustained results and outstanding pupil progress. We take pupils from right across the coastal area which makes us a truly diverse school community.
We are a smaller than average school (607 on roll) with a close, family atmosphere. We are ambitious for all pupils, and our calm and purposeful ethos of learning is frequently commented on from our school community and visitors. Staff know our students well and together we form a cohesive community.
Due to the quality of CPD, colleagues that support each other and a sense of fun and enjoyment we have seen our staff stay and develop – and as such our school has low staff turnover and high staff retention.
The Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a key colleague to join us as a Relief Caretaker. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and willing to be used during the day by the school and by the wider community on evenings and weekends. You will be responsible for ensuring the site is safe, secure and unlocked and locked when in use at pre-determined times. A sense of pride in our school facilities and great customer service will be in your DNA as you welcome our whole community to our school site.
In addition, you will be responsible for the supervision and issue of equipment alongside, on occasion, working with tools and cleaning equipment. A love of working outdoors in all weathers is essential!
We encourage you to look at the Job Description in more detail before applying for the post.
What we can offer in return:
• The opportunity to work within a school where our all of our staff are incredibly passionate about their subject area and teamwork.
• A warm, happy school where we value our Catholic ethos and have a philosophy of treating each other with kindness and respect.
• A school that is highly regarded within North Yorkshire for not just our student’s outcomes but for the pastoral and ‘open door’ approach that is fully embedded.
