What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a Reprographics Administrator/Receptionist on a permanent term time only basis plus inset with effect from September 2025. The post offers an excellent opportunity to work in a strong administrative department in our highly successful academy.

The core purpose of the role will be to provide support the admin team with reception duties and support all staff within the academy with printing needs.

Personal Qualities

The successful candidate will be efficient, flexible and well organised with a strong work ethic.

Main Duties:

  • manage workflow and operation of photocopiers and printers for all academy reprographics
  • finishing work, including folding, stapling, trimming and binding
  • upkeep of records in respect of card and PIN number systems used on photocopiers
  • order stock for the department
  • when required, produce newsletter ‘Plume News’ for website and ‘In Touch’
  • produce posters/documents/prospectus and any other booklets as and when required
  • weekly machine checks
  • contact engineers as and when required
  • manage main reception/switchboard
  • to provide cover for other reception staff as and when required.

Remuneration and Working Time

The hours of work required for the role are 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 3:00pm, term time only plus inset days, with 30-minute unpaid break. Annual salary will be in accordance with the Academy’s Support Staff Pay Scale, which for appointment for a full-time post currently involves a salary of Band 2 Point 11 in the range of point 11–14 with an actual starting salary of £17,738 per annum (2025/26 pay awards pending).

Salaries are reviewed by national negotiation with effect from 1st April each year. Progression through the pay scale is subject to an acceptable annual performance development review process.
