Internal Exclusion Manager job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Internal Exclusion Manager who has a strong understanding and approach to behaviour management to coordinate and facilitate the Internal Exclusion Provision within our Academy. As the Internal Exclusion Manager your role will be to supervise and facilitate the smooth operations of the Internal Isolation and reflection provision and to challenge, motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential and help them overcome any barriers to learning during their periods of isolation due to behavioural related incidents.

Your role will be to facilitate and ensure the highest of standards and expectations are ever present in the internal exclusion room which houses bout Internal Exclusion and Reflection. The Internal Exclusion Manager will be an enthusiastic and experienced member of staff who has a strong understanding and approach to behaviour management.  A person who is able to command and coordinate difficult environments on occasion and bring about a calmness to a learning environment. The role would be well suited to an individual with experience of working with disaffected young people, who has excellent behaviour management, organisation and administration skills. The Internal Manager would play an important role in our Pastoral care as part of the Academy’s student behaviour management strategy. The role of the Internal Exclusion Manager is centrally about supporting the pastoral team with high quality pastoral support, ensuring good behaviour, supporting the wellbeing of students while still maintaining full access to the curriculum to ensure student progress and learning is not disadvantaged during isolation and prepare them for reintegration back into lessons.
