Reset Room Manager job summary

Are you calm, consistent and committed to helping young people make positive choices?

We are looking for a Reset Room Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our internal Reset Room provision. This is a vital role at the heart of our school culture, supporting students who have not met behaviour expectations to reflect, reset and successfully return to learning.

The successful candidate will create a calm and purposeful environment where students are held to high standards while also being supported to understand their behaviour and make better choices. Working closely with pastoral teams, teaching staff and senior leaders, you will play a key role in maintaining a positive and inclusive school environment where every student can thrive. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, resilient and confident in working with young people. You will be able to build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries, model excellent standards of conduct, and support students with both reflection and reintegration.

You will:

Lead and manage the Reset Room, ensuring students work in a calm, structured and focused setting.

Support students to reflect on behaviour, understand its impact and plan for improved conduct.

Work closely with other staff to identify patterns and support effective interventions.

Maintain accurate records, behaviour logs and reports to help inform wider pastoral and behaviour support.

Contribute to a strong student culture built on high expectations, accountability, respect and care.

We are looking for someone who:

Has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.

Can remain calm, fair and consistent, even in challenging situations.

Is organised and accurate using school systems to record and monitor information.

Understands the importance of safeguarding and pastoral care.

Shares our commitment to high standards, inclusion and the wider Catholic ethos and values of the school.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day. You will be joining a dedicated team that believes in helping every student reach their full potential through clear expectations, strong relationships and the right support.

If you are passionate about supporting young people and helping students get back on track, we would love to hear from you.

We offer a supportive working environment within a brilliant team, ample opportunities for personal career development, a comprehensive staff wellbeing service including on-line GP access and free gym facilities on site.

If you have any questions, or would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact our Assistant Head, Mr John Kinsella on 01900 873290 or at office@sjchs.uk. Mr Kinsella would be delighted to take you on a tour of the school and give you the opportunity to meet the department and answer any questions you may have.

Applications will be assessed as they are submitted and we reserve the right to invite candidates for interview prior to the closing date and to make an appointment before this date. Therefore, we encourage interested applicants to apply as soon as possible.
