S E N Learning Support Assistant job summary


About this Role:

We are looking for an SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated and friendly staff team to support pupils 1:1 with their learning needs and within the classroom. This post will be offered on a fixed term contract in the first instance to July 2024, working 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only.

The Person:

We are looking for candidates who:

·        Enjoy working with children and are interested in their development

·        Have good knowledge and skills in literacy and numeracy

·        Will work well as part of a team, working effectively with children, staff and parents

·        Are flexible and willing to take on different challenges and are proactive in their practice in order to seek out the best ways to engage and enthuse young children

·         Are creative and resourceful

·         Have enthusiasm and are willing to develop their practice

Prior experience in working with children either professionally or on a voluntary basis is essential. A successful candidate would be well supported and appropriate training will be provided as required.
