This is an exciting opportunity to join the Safeguarding and Student Support Team within an outstanding Secondary School.

The Safeguarding and Student Support Team is made up of an Assistant Principal (DSL) and two Student Support Officers. We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and confident individual to work alongside this close knit team to provide admin support for our most vulnerable students. This would include:

  • The organisation of mental health provision rotas;

  • Liaising with both Tomlinscote staff and outside agencies for the organisation of meetings;

  • Having an oversight of the room bookings for both our outside agencies and Tomlinscote staff;

  • Working alongside the Assistant Principal (DSL) to coordinate and monitor any safeguarding training;

  • Providing the necessary admin support for CPOMS (safeguarding and behaviour database);

  • Supporting the department through the taking of minutes;

  • Supporting the department with the necessary paperwork for our LAC (Looked After Children); and

  • Providing support within the Student Wellbeing Hub.

An understanding of safeguarding and mental health within a school setting would be desirable. However, as a member of the safeguarding team you would be required to complete safeguarding training in line with our safeguarding leads. Although you would not be expected to take the lead on any safeguarding issues you may be required to complete paperwork associated with this.

A positive mindset works well in this busy department where no two days are the same.
