Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Term Time + 5 days
Salary Scale: Scale 6, Points 18 – 22 (£29,269 - £31,364) FTE

We are looking to appoint a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer to support the development of safeguarding and child protection policies, safeguarding training, procedures and provide guidance to key stakeholders at the Academy.
The successful candidate will assist in the co-ordination of referrals, arranging, actioning and reviewing services for students and families.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in an educational setting or within a similar/relevant position to provide appropriate advice and support to pupils, families and staff (including other key stakeholders) in relation to Safeguarding, Prevent and Child Protection.
They will also need experience of writing and maintaining accurate records in relation to Child Protection and Safeguarding concerns in line with relevant legislation, guidance and policy/procedure and working within a multi-agency arena. This will involve working successfully with multidisciplinary teams, taking the role of Lead Practitioner and completing Early Help Assessments/Team Around the Child meetings and Child Protection conferences and to have managed complex referrals to external agencies.
