Safeguarding coordinator job summary
Job Title: Safeguarding Coordinator
Location: Thomas Clarkson Academy
Salary: Grade 7, points 19 - 21 FTE £31,250 - £33,250
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (We are willing to explore flexible working options for the right candidate)
The Safeguarding coordinator will be accountable to the Safeguarding manager and work as part of the safeguarding team in school. Safeguarding is the most important role of a school and this role is at the forefront of day to day coordination and management of safeguarding within the Academy.
The Safeguarding Coordinator role will provide efficient and effective coordination and support of Safeguarding meetings for the Academy. This includes management and recording on various recording systems in line with Legislative requirements. The role will include attending all meetings with regards to safeguarding, family support or child protection, acting as our lead professional as well as liaising, meeting and planning with other agencies and staff as required. The role will also support to provide CPD training to staff on Safeguarding and Child Protection as part of the ongoing training programme for all staff. Experience of working in safeguarding or social work would be an advantage.
This role is 52 working weeks per year.
