What skills and experience we're looking for

Applicants will need to:

Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, staff and external agencies

Carry out the role of DSL and Lead on Early Help; supporting with home visits, parental engagement, pupil support & safeguarding

Work closely with colleagues, families and outside agencies to attend child protection meetings & record keeping around safeguarding concerns

Have the ability to complete detailed written professional reports/maintain robust, accurate and timely records on school system

Have the ability to keep calm and work well under pressure

Work independently on cases relating to safeguarding concerns

Support the DSL and Pastoral teams, managing lower level concerns

One to one mentoring and support to improve academic progress and learning

Remain professional at all times & understand the need for complete confidentiality

Support the Catholic ethos of the school

Be prepared to undertake any necessary training/lead staff training
