Safeguarding Officer job summary
The Role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated team member to help to focus on delivering the most effective service within our safeguarding team. You will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to champion the safeguarding agenda and work with families and agencies to prevent the exclusion of children from mainstream education.
The candidate will be responsible for administrating a wide range of processes relating to safeguarding, which focuses on ensuring our most vulnerable students are safe, healthy, and secure in support of our academies and the Trust as a whole. Experience of handling large amounts of sensitive data is equally important, along with excellent record keeping skills and attention to detail, in order to produce reports, take minutes at meetings, and document safeguarding concerns.
You will be familiar with safeguarding policies and procedures and have experience in attending and participating in planning and reviewing meetings, and working closely with colleagues in children’s services as required. You will have several years’ experience working with students that demonstrate challenging behaviours, be a qualified DSL and/or hold a degree in an appropriate area or experienced in a relevant discipline.
