Safeguarding Officer & Learning Mentor job summary
From September 2022, we are delighted to be seeking a new member of staff to join our dynamic, committed and caring team at Dobcroft Junior School. Due to the promotion of our existing team member, we are recruiting a new safeguarding officer with senior learning mentor responsibilities. The post is for a start date of 1st September.
This role will involve being part of the inclusion and safeguarding team and leading on all aspects of safeguarding, including undertaking the role of deputy designated safeguarding lead (DDSL). This will involve supporting children, families and staff across the school community with regards to pupils’ social, emotional and pastoral needs. It will also include working and supporting pupils who find accessing mainstream class challenging and supporting class teachers with behaviour plans and strategies. Consequently, experience as a DDSL in a school setting is highly desirable. For a full breakdown of the role please refer to the job description alongside the advert.
