We are seeking a motivated and efficient Administration Assistant to support our School Business Manager with administration supporting recruitment, health & safety, staff training, compliance, etc. With training and development from both our academy trust and the business manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to build experience whilst contributing to the smooth running of our school, all within a happy and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the School Business Manager and other leadership team members.
- Maintain accurate records and data management in line with data protection procedures.
- Assist with recruitment, payroll, health & safety, and safeguarding processes.
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers such as cleaning, catering, and IT support.
- Use IT systems confidently, including Microsoft Office and school-specific software.
- Support content management on the school website and IT-based administration initiatives.
- Handle day-to-day office operations, including answering phone calls and greeting visitors.
- Administer first aid and act as a Fire Marshall when necessary.
- Provide occasional playground and dining hall supervision for pupil safety and wellbeing.
Qualifications and Experience:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience working in a school or educational environment (desirable).
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.

- High level of confidentiality and discretion.

- Willingness to take part in first aid and fire marshal duties.
