What skills and experience we're looking for

Westacre is a popular and oversubscribed middle school, for children aged 9 to 12 years, with a strong and embedded primary ethos. Conveniently located to the west of Droitwich Spa, Westacre is set in a spacious site of over ten acres of playing fields and landscaped gardens. We are looking for a dedicated and well organised Attendance & Admissions Administrator to provide effective administration to our warm and friendly school. The successful candidate will have the ability to use their initiative, strong ICT skills, the commitment to deliver work of a high standard and a willingness to undertake a range of duties is also an essential quality for this post.

Duties and Responsibilities

This aims to give you a description of the main purpose of the job. The list of duties is not exhaustive, but provides an overall summary of the scope of the job and what will be expected of the successful applicant.

  • Ensure official registers are accurately maintained, checks on missing students are made and information systems are updated and accurate
  • Communicate with parents as necessary using a range of communication channels including telephone, SIMS app, email and writing
  • Work with the Senior Leadership Team to fulfil associated administrative functions related to student attendance
  • Use data to produce management information, including regular reporting as required
  • Manage admissions and leavers & the school census
  • Act as a supporting member of the School Office, answer telephone queries, receive visitors
