Outwood Academy Bydales is an 11-16 school located in the beautiful coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the North York Moors National Park. We are extremely proud of our tradition of serving the families of the community of Marske and surrounding areas. The academy has been part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust, nationally recognised as a high performing academy chain, since September 2014.

Due to a promotion within the Trust we have a new vacancy for an Attendance Officer. We are looking to appoint an energetic individual who will be responsible for the operational and administrative support to promote whole school attendance strategies. This is in order to improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absence, in line with academy targets under the supervision of our Educational Welfare Officer.

The ideal candidate will be extremely well organised and solution focused, have excellent communication skills, and be able to remain calm in a busy school environment. You will be able to work on your own initiative and work within an already established team and maintain standards of confidentiality at all times. You will have the ability to motivate and engage our students and families, ideally having previous experience of working with students and families within an education environment. Daily home visits will be required as part of this role so a current full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle will be essential. Strong IT skills and practical experience of using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, are essential for this role.

Prospective applicants are welcome to contact us if they would like to discuss the role further. Please contact Ben Roberts, Associate Vice Principal by email at b.roberts@bydales.outwood.com
