School Business Manager job summary

Start date: As soon as possible from September 2024 Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks of the year. Flexible, hybrid working available

Salary Grade: NJC Grade 11 Pt 31-34 (£39,186 - £42,403)

We are seeking to appoint a friendly, professional and dedicated School Business Manager to work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to lead on finance, HR and operational management to ensure efficiency and best value. The role is varied and the successful candidate will need to work well under pressure.

  1. A proven track record of business management in a school
  2. The ability to lead and work effectively within a team
  3. Secure knowledge and experience to analyse financial data, balance budgets and report findings to the Headteacher and Governing Body
  4. Able to deal with complex situations under pressure and multi-task
  5. Excellent IT skills including proficiency in financial management information systems
  6. Be highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
  7. A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of humour
  8. The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff and promote our ethos and values to all visitor
