What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced SBM who has:

  • Strategic leadership and management experience of areas including finance, premises and facilities management, in an educational environment ideally in a PFI School
  • Effective communication, negotiating and influencing skills, including the ability to present written and verbal information to a variety of audiences, including Governors.
  • Be an effective team member willing to undertake a range of duties.
  • Be dedicated to developing positive relationships with all members of the school community.

The successful candidate will also:

  • Have excellent numeracy & literacy skills
  • Have excellent knowledge of SIMS and FMS system
  • Be confident using software including Microsoft Package
  • Be able to use their own initiative
  • Be willing to attend Governing Body meetings as required
  • Manage their own workload and prioritize deadlines
  • Be approachable and friendly with all pupils, staff & parents
  • Be flexible
