School Business Manager job summary

Here at Meryfield School we are seeking to appoint a friendly, professional and dedicated School Business Manager to work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to lead on finance, HR, Health and Safety, compliance and administration to ensure efficiency and best value. The role is varied and the successful candidate will need to be someone who can juggle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.

  1. A proven track record of business management in a school
  2. The ability to effectively lead a team
  3. Secure knowledge and experience to analyse financial data, balance budgets and report findings to the Headteacher and Governing Body
  4. Able to deal with complex situations under pressure and multi-task
  5. Excellent IT skills including proficiency in financial management information systems
  6. Be highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
  7. A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of humour
  8. The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, staff and governors and promote our ethos and values to all visitors.
