If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, organised and forward-lookingSchool Business Manager to join our team to support us on our journey to outstanding. 

The children, staff and governors of Poringland Primary and Nursery School are looking to appoint an experienced and highly effective School Business Manager to lead the financial management of the school, identify opportunities to improve financial strength (including maximising income generation), ensure effective procedures and systems are in place which operate in accordance with statutory guidelines, DfE financial regulations and guidelines set out in the school’s policies and procedures. The postholder will be responsible for developing, driving and overseeing all school business-related matters as well as having strategic responsibility for the school site, associated facilities, contracts and HR to ensure the smooth, efficient running of the school. 

You will need to:

  • Be highly organised, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have experience of financial management, databases and spreadsheets
  • Be a proactive, dynamic, highly visible, innovative and solution focused leader
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to work across a number of business disciplines
  • Have a proven track record of developing and maintaining exemplary standards across the areas of finance, site management and operational efficiency.
