THE ROLE
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Catering Lead for our special school in Huddersfield. As a Catering Lead you will provide high quality, cost effective and safe services to learners, staff and visitors. We are committed to doing everything possible to ensure children get nutritious meals at school. Applicants will need to have the skills to cook foods for the daily menus and carry out all duties as expected in a catering department; to ensure high level of customer service during service, to ensure that high quality cleaning regimes are adhered to, and stock is always kept safe, stored appropriately, and rotated securely. The Catering Lead will act as a role model to members of the Catering team always offering support to other staff.

THE CANDIDATE
You will need a varied background in catering, working in education settings would be advantageous.
We are looking for applicants with experience in a similar role, who are flexible to meet the needs of our learners
Food Safety Level 2 certificate
Computer literate with strong IT and communication skills
An interest of working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
