Are you looking for a local role that fits perfectly around family life or other commitments? We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and thorough School Cleaner to help keep our learning environment sparkling and safe for our students.
The Details
- Hours: 12.5 hours per week (2.5 hours per day).
- Shift: Monday to Friday (e.g., 3:15 PM - 5:45 PM
- Contract: Term Time Only (additional hours available during school holidays)
Salary: £12.85 per hour (pay award is pending)

What You’ll Be Doing
You will play a vital role in the daily operation of our school. Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste.
- Sanitising high-touch surfaces (desks, door handles, etc.).
- Ensuring restrooms are stocked and hygienic.
- Mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to a high standard.
What We’re Looking For
- Reliability: You show up on time and take pride in your work.
- Attention to Detail: You don’t miss a spot!
- Team Spirit: You can work independently but are happy to be part of a friendly site team.
- Experience: Previous cleaning experience is a plus, but full training will be provided.
This role is due to start in early July, with 2 weeks worked in the school summer holiday for a ‘deep clean’ for which overtime will be paid.
Note: As this role is based in a school, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
