School Cook / Chef Required for School in Oxford
Are you an experienced School Cook who is seeking a full-time role to start in September? This role working in a large secondary school in Oxford might be just right for you!
About the roleYou will be an integral part of the team, working closely with the Catering Manager and Assistants to maintain the excellent standard already established in our popular school canteen.
You will assist the catering manager in the planning, preparation, cooking, presentation and serving of meals and snacks within an agreed budget. You will also support the catering department to achieve targets in reducing our carbon footprint and use of plastic products.
On a daily basis, you will ensure the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen, and help to maintain and appropriately store stock.
Salary
This role will work during term time only (paid across 12 months), so would be perfect for someone who does not want to work during school holidays.
The role is paid on the NJC salary scale at Grade 5, scale point 5-7. The starting salary for32.5 hour per week, term time contract will be scale point 5 - £17, 267 per annum (£12.18 per hour) dependent on experience.
