Hours per week: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Permanent.

We are looking to appoint a fully qualified School counsellor to join our passionate and hard-working wellbeing team at Kettering Science Academy. You will be responsible for providing a high-quality counselling service to students from ages 11-18years, experiencing a wide range of emotional problems. A key part of this role is to provide counselling services on an individual basis and through daily drop-in sessions as well as liaising with external agencies such as the Mental Health Support Team and CAMHS as required. Providing support, guidance and advice to parent, carers and the academy forms part of your role, as being pro-active in the school’s commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding

This role provides the opportunity to make a significant contribution to promoting the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our children as well as developing positive attitudes and approaches to lifelong learning for all students by providing therapeutic interventions and strategies.
