School Counsellor job summary
We wish to appoint a School Counsellor to work with us in schools in & around Herefordshire. We would like to hear from;
Qualified Counsellors (to Level 5 or working towards) and a willingness to undertake further in-house training and development, with a
proven commitment to working with children and their families with an awareness of legislation relevant to working in schools.
The ability to professionally manage sensitive verbal and digital material.
A desire to work alongside Senior Leadership Teams to develop mentally healthy schools.
An ability to work as part of the team, and autonomously, able to manage a daily caseload of 8 – 10 children, with the capacity to be flexible to the ever- changing needs of the school community.
Evidence of CPD and clinical supervision.
Good level of education in English and Maths.
Basic IT skills.
Enhanced DBS
Clean Drivers Licence with use of car for the working day.
This is a great opportunity to make a massive difference to children's lives. Whilst you will be fully supported by a great team, day to day you will be working independently. Car mileage can be claimed each month.
Visits to Orleton Primary to meet with the Lead Counsellor are welcomed and encouraged
