School Counsellor job summary

We wish to appoint a School Counsellor to work with us in schools in & around Herefordshire. We would like to hear from;

  • Qualified Counsellors (to Level 5 or working towards) and a willingness to undertake further in-house training and development, with a

  • proven commitment to working with children and their families with an awareness of legislation relevant to working in schools.

  • The ability to professionally manage sensitive verbal and digital material.

  • A desire to work alongside Senior Leadership Teams to develop mentally healthy schools.

  • An ability to work as part of the team, and autonomously, able to manage a daily caseload of 8 – 10 children, with the capacity to be flexible to the ever- changing needs of the school community.

  • Evidence of CPD and clinical supervision.

  • Good level of education in English and Maths.

  • Basic IT skills.

  • Enhanced DBS

  • Clean Drivers Licence with use of car for the working day.

    This is a great opportunity to make a massive difference to children's lives. Whilst you will be fully supported by a great team, day to day you will be working independently. Car mileage can be claimed each month.
