School Counsellor job summary
The Latymer School is an oversubscribed high achieving, but caring Grammar School in North London. Visitors comment on the warm atmosphere and the high levels of participation in extra-curricular activities that encourage students to foster and nurture their skills and interests beyond the confines of the curriculum. We are seeking to appoint a School Counsellor, who would enjoy working with highly motivated intellectually curious students at a high-achieving grammar school. The successful candidate will provide counselling to our students who are experiencing emotional challenges. You will be confident with students and experienced in identifying all safeguarding matters providing guidance and advice to parents, carers, and the school.
This role is offered on a part time basis at 2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday) at 39 weeks (term time only).
The school also provides a range of well-being activities and facilities including good transport links, free parking, a cycle to work scheme, use of the fitness suite and even massages by a qualified masseuse. The school also runs a number of national and international trips, and we even have our own residential centre in a beautiful part of North Wales which staff also use. We value our staff and the importance of maintaining a healthy work life balance. The school offers a supportive working environment with training opportunities.
