School Finance Manager

37 hours per week - Term Time only + 10 additional days

(Part time working hours may be considered for an exceptional candidate)

Grade 8 - Starting Salary at 37 hours (£31,647)

Crofton Academy are seeking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager.

You’ll act as the primary finance contact ensuring transactional processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient. Working closely with the School Business Manager, you will support month-end procedures, maintain strong internal controls, and deliver financial information that helps the Academy leaders make informed decisions.

The postholder will be responsible to the School Business Manager and will have line management responsibility for the Finance Administrator.

The successful candidate will;

  • Have detailed working knowledge of financial management systems (those relating to the Education sector would be advantageous).
  • Have experience in managing budgets, bank reconciliation and payment processes.
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Have a methodical and consistent approach to the organisation of workload.
