- Part time: 1 hour 20 minutes per day. Either 11.40am to 1.00pm or 12 noon to 1.20pm Term time only

- Fixed term - 1 year in the first instance
Pay scale
- G2 08 £25,266 pro rata
What skills and experience we're looking for
- Job related knowledge, aptitude and skills
- A practical person who can work in a flexible way to maintain the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the midday break.
- Ability to liaise with the school leaders, Senior Supervisory Assistant, and all teaching and support staff.
- An interest and commitment to encourage and develop children’s play by talking and playing with children
- An understanding of basic safety in relation to pupils’ activities during the midday break.
- Commitment to and ability to promote child protection, safeguarding, health and safety and welfare of children.
- A willingness to participate in job related training
- Fit and healthy enough to carry out the duties
- Experience of working with children of primary school age.
- Experience of working as part of a team

You will
- work as part of a busy team
- supervise and assist children during the lunch time, inside and outside the school building
- engage with happy, motivated children in a positive and friendly manner
- have an understanding of the importance of play
- be willing to participate in relevant training to provide First Aid support on the playground
Applicants also need to be patient, aware of the need for confidentiality and able to work under pressure
