8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Are you passionate about providing high-quality medical care and support within a school community? Do you have the leadership skills to coordinate a first aid team?

Watling Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Nurse/Senior Health Professional to lead our medical care provision. In this vital role, you will ensure a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff. The successful candidate will be proactive in developing first aid protocols, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to supporting students with additional needs, including managing Health Care Plans.

Responsibilities include managing the Academy's first aid provision, overseeing first aiders, maintaining accurate records using the Medical Tracker IT system, administering daily nursing care, and ensuring safe medication management. The role also involves coordinating health records, vaccination programs, health and safety initiatives, personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPs), and first aid training sessions.

Watling Academy was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in May 2023 and is a purpose-built 11-18 secondary school in its fourth year of operation, located within the Whitehouse development on the western expansion area of Milton Keynes. The Academy will have 1800 students when at full capacity. Watling Academy is part of the Denbigh Alliance MAT.
