School Office Manager job summary

St James’ CE Academy is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, confident, and highly organised Office Manager to play a vital role in our day-to-day office operations. You will need to have exceptional organisation skills and the ability to put processes in place that are streamlined and structured.

As an office manager, you will play a crucial role in providing an effective and efficient school office, contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the school. Reporting to the Headteacher, you will also have the opportunity to interact with staff, pupils, families and visitors, and work as part of a supportive friendly team.

The ideal candidate will:

Live our school values and encourage all to flourish

Have previous line management experience and will thrive in a busy office environment where competing priorities are the norm

Have excellent written and communication skills

Show initiative and independence while working collaboratively

Proficient in using IT systems and software packages, and emails

Experience of the education sector

Willingness to undergo training, embrace lifelong learning and be eager to gain new experiences

Kind and flexible team player.
