Are you an experienced and dynamic administrator ready to lead a high-performing team in a vibrant secondary school? We are seeking a School Office Manager to play a pivotal role in the smooth and efficient running of our school’s administrative functions. This role is for 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only plus INSET days). The exact working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate, but would need to cover the core school opening hours.
About the Role
As our School Office Manager, you will be the heartbeat of our school’s operations—leading the front-office team, supporting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, and ensuring that communication and administration are seamless and professional. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level executive support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, including diary management, meeting coordination, and governance support.
- Lead and manage the Administration Team, ensuring efficient workflows, professional development, and excellent service delivery.
- Oversee first aid provision and student health administration, liaising with health professionals and maintaining compliance.
- Coordinate all school communications, including newsletters, social media, website updates, and promotional materials.
- Support school events, trips, and parent engagement initiatives, ensuring a welcoming and organised experience for all stakeholders.

- Highly organised, proactive, and approachable.
- Experienced in managing administrative teams and supporting senior leaders.
- Skilled in communication, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
- Confident using digital tools and systems to streamline processes and enhance communication.
