School Office Manager job summary

Working 35 hours a week/41 weeks per year (term-time plus 2 weeks)

West Hill is an incredibly special place to be, supporting children with a range of additional needs at primary level. All our children have additional needs and an Education, Health and Care Plan to support their learning and we welcome children and families from across Surrey.

The office is the heart of our school. All children, parents and visitors are welcomed by the staff here and this is the team you will lead. Our school is busy and works as it does with kind and values-led staff which is needed as you provide the important help to our families and the team.

This role is critical and supports the effective running of the school. Working closely with the Principal and the Leadership Team you will have the opportunity to provide the key administration function to help us to deliver what our families and children need. You will be the first point of contact with our Trust wide Partnership Services that provide the HR, Estates, IT and Finance Partners for each setting.

No day ever looks the same, which is part of the great thing about schools. Flexibility and motivation are critical in this pivotal role as you liaise across a whole range of departments, organisations and within our school team. Happy and keen to support our children to achieve as much as they possibly can, will be what drives you daily.

Previous experience in schools would be advantageous and your skills in harnessing technology to support efficiency will be a key focus as you consider the systems and structures. All roles in our school support children on a daily basis as part everyday life. As a key member of the Safeguarding Team you will provide additional advice and guidance as required. This part of the role will come with full training.

You will experience:

  • Amazing children who are keen to learn how to learn
  • Friendly and supportive staff, parents and governors
  • Varied curriculum and bespoke CPD opportunities
  • Strong commitment to staff well-being
  • You will also be eligible for THPT Benefits and Pension schemes
  • Opportunity to observe & work with a range of professionals to develop your skills

We hope that the job profile and supporting information will provide all that you need in applying for the role. If you wish to come and see the school then please contact Nichola.Hooper@westhill.thpt.org.uk (EA to Principal). We look forward to hearing from you.
