Organised? Unflappable? Love a challenge? We need YOU!
Pear Tree Community Junior School is looking for a super-efficient, people-savvy, spreadsheet-wielding Operations Manager to help keep our school running like a well-oiled machine. If you can juggle finance, HR, site management, and the hospitality needs of visitors, this might just be your perfect role!
Who Are We?
Once upon a time, Pear Tree Community Junior School needed a transformation. Fast forward, and today we are a Good-rated school with a big heart, big ambitions, and even bigger dreams for our pupils – we help them to flourish. We are proud to be part of Transform Trust and live by our three school values:
Trust – We build strong relationships where everyone feels valued and respected.
Care – We support each other, celebrating success and guiding each other through challenges.
Grow – We believe every child and staff member has the potential to flourish, and we invest in making that happen.
What Will You Do?
As Operations Manager, you will be the glue that holds everything together (metaphorically, of course – we have an actual supply of glue sticks!). Your role will include:
• Financial Wizardry – Supporting budget management and ensuring we spend wisely
• HR & Payroll Mastery – Keeping our team running smoothly, from recruitment to payroll accuracy
• Site & Health & Safety Superhero – Making sure our school is safe, welcoming, and a great place to learn and work.
• Data & Admin Extraordinaire – Providing key information to help drive strategic decision-making
Who Are We Looking For?
• A calm, capable multi-tasker (able to manage a busy school office).
• A natural leader who can manage people, processes, and occasionally a last-minute crisis with a smile.
• Someone with experience of finance, HR, or school operations – or all three if you’re an overachiever!
• A values-driven professional who genuinely believes in Trust, Care & Grow for children and staff alike.
What’s In It For You?
• A role where no two days are the same (because where’s the fun in predictability?).
• A supportive, values-driven team that believes in work-life balance (yes, really!).
• Professional development opportunities to help you grow in your career.
• An occasional biscuit (or three) and coffee in the staffroom – and a team that appreciates you!
