Fitzharrys is a good school that is really moving forward because of everyone’s creativity, consistency, care and commitment. We were rated as good by Ofsted in June 2016 and have continued to go from strength to strength. Our mission statement begins “We are a loving school, committed to the nurturing and safeguarding of everyone. Our values of Growth, Ownership, Ambition, Leadership and Success underpin the decency, honesty and empathy consistent with the flourishing of humanity.” These are high ambitions, but all part of working at a school that is as special as Fitzharrys. We hope you are excited at the prospect of joining us.

We are currently looking for a dynamic, personable and committed School Receptionist to start in September 2020. The successful candidate will work within the Admin Team to assist with the smooth running of the School. This is a varied and exciting role and you will be working within a friendly and caring team.

This is an extremely important role as you will be the first point of contact for all visitors coming into the school. You will need to be able to adapt quickly, be courteous and sensitive in a variety of different situations with children, parents and staff. You will need to be organised and have the ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

All Fitzharrys staff benefit from our induction programme and our comprehensive CPD programme as part of a school community committed to getting the best from everyone.

We are proud of our great students, and in turn they are proud to be part of something special. Parents are very supportive of the work of the school, recognising our care, attention to detail and how each child benefits from a nurturing environment where they are known, supported and challenged to achieve great things.

Fitzharrys is a very friendly school with a strong sense of community. This applies to all colleagues, who regularly socialise together through sports teams and nights out. Fitzharrys staff benefit from our fitness suite which is available for use before and after school.

This is an exciting time to join us in our continued development. If you want to be part of an innovative, supportive and loving school and contribute to each student achieving their ambitions then we look forward to meeting you.

An application pack is available from the Fitzharrys School website or from
recruitment@abingdonlearningtrust.org
CVs alone are not acceptable. Applications will be processed on arrival.

Closing date: Wednesday, 8 July 2020, though we will process applications as we receive them.
