School Receptionist/ Admin Assistant job summary
Hartford Infant and Preschool and Hartford Junior School is seeking to appoint an additional, part time Receptionist/Admin Assistant starting September 2024. This role is for 15 hours per week, term time only, temporary until Easter 2025 primarily based in the Infant and Preschool.
This position is offered at Scale 2, Point 4 £23114 FTE (Pro rata £7856.83).
This is a rare opportunity to join our existing friendly office team.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, effective and efficient reception and administration support in our busy offices including:
- Daily communication with members of the school community and visitors
- Answering emails and telephone call
- Helping maintain the school’s management information system (ScholarPack)
- Working as part of the team to ensure routine tasks are carried out and assisting with other administrative matters as they arise.

The successful candidate will need to have a GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths, (or equivalent), and good ICT skills are essential. Previous experience in a school or office environment would be an advantage, although full training will be given.
Hartford Infant and Preschool was inspected by Ofsted in 2023 and received a ‘Good’ rating and Hartford Junior School was inspected by Ofsted in 2019 and received a ‘Good’ rating.
