Science HLTA job summary

We are looking for an inspirational and motivational Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work specifically in our science faculty. As Science HLTA you will:

• Complement the SEND leadership and teaching team by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities in the science faculty.
• Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
• Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs.
• Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies.

We are looking for individuals who have:
• Significant experience of working with primary or secondary school children.
• Experience of working with pupils with additional needs.
• Experience of teaching the science curriculum to small groups, or one to one.
• 5 GCSEs at grade A to C in English, maths and science.
• Gained HLTA status or a willingness to undertake the qualification.
