Science Laboratory Technician job summary
The Elizabethan Academy are seeking to recruit an additional Science Laboratory Technician to support our existing team of Science Teachers and Technicians, who have a keen drive to maintain and promote practical science at the heart of teaching and learning across all key stages and science disciplines.
We require a confident person who can relate well to staff and students and who is committed to supporting our whole school values. This post could suit a former science teacher or conversely a school leaver/ graduate, or candidates more experienced in equipment repairs, electronics etc.
The successful candidate will have:
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Knowledge of practical science through formal qualifications or work experience.
• Motivation and flexibility.
• Effective organisation and communication skills.
• Will have good communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative, but also be able to work flexibly as part of a team.
• The ability to act as a positive role model and set high standards.
• Be confident in their ability to support all students including those with SEN and who are vulnerable.
