Highcrest offers both an excellent induction and support programme for NQTs. This provision of training has been praised as outstanding by an external assessor and highlighted in the local press. We provide weekly CPD meetings with experienced members of staff, time-tabled and protected Mentor Meetings on a weekly basis, subject knowledge time with departments, an extensive personalised CPD plan and a two-week paid induction period in June/July. Are you looking to start your teaching career in a supportive school who will help you become the teacher you want to be?

We are seeking a newly qualified teacher to join our successful Science department. Whatever your specialism, there will an opportunity to teach up to and including KS5, plus you will also be required to teach General Science to KS3. You will join a leading department in a heavily over-subscribed academy. The Science department is staffed with a mixture of experienced teachers, NQTs and three technicians, all with a commitment to continuous school improvement. We have a suite of dedicated Science laboratories, including a newly refurbished lab and Sixth Form facilities.

You will be keen to promote the Science department and improve upon the opportunities available to our students.

Just 30 minutes by train from Central London, The Highcrest Academy is the first All Ability Academy in the county of Buckinghamshire.
