Science Teacher (0.6 FTE) job summary
We are looking for a highly committed, positive and skilled KS3 & 4 Science teacher to join and enhance our dedicated team of staff. This is an exciting professional development opportunity for a secondary specialist teacher who is an excellent classroom practitioner from either a mainstream or special provision background and who is passionate about teaching science to young people who have medical needs.
Initially the post will be in our Outreach Teaching team with a proportion of lessons being taught online; as a result candidates will need to be highly proficient in the use of IT. Our staff are all subject to redeployment across all of our settings according to pupil need.
Full support and appropriate training is available to help the successful candidate settle into the school team.
The Oxfordshire Hospital School is an all through maintained special school with a special responsibility for preparing the young people we teach for their futures, whatever they may bring and regardless of the challenges that face them. OHS is a school where time is precious and where every learning opportunity must count. All teaching at our school is 1:1 or in small groups and is entirely personalised and pupil-focussed.
We would encourage and warmly welcome enquiries. Please contact Laura Campbell, School Business Manager on laura.campbell@ohs.oxon.sch.uk or tel 01865 957480 should you require any further information.
