About You
The successful candidate will:

- be a form tutor and support the academic and pastoral development of your tutor group;
- a passion for extra-curricular / enrichment activities.
What the school offers its staff
The Role
You will have the opportunity to teach Combined Science and Triple Science at GCSE, we also have an offering of Biology, Physics and Chemistry A-Levels with a view to starting BTEC Applied Science Level 3 from September 2023.
The Team
We are a well-resourced department with 8 labs, 2 prep rooms and 10 teachers. We are very proud of our curriculum and how it is designed to spiral our students learning and teach them to become the scientists of the future. As a department we lead on whole school priorities and are extremely passionate about everything Teaching and Learning. Collaboration is key to the success of our department and this includes the planning of resources and CPD to ensure we remain at the top of our game. Extracurricular activities are a fundamentalpart of our department and we run successful STEM, ECO and Study Skills Clubs. The department is support by 2 technicians and 3 teaching assistants all of who are extremely enthusiastic and form an integral part of our team.

This provides opportunity to be involved in transition and outreach work, but also connections with peers across the local area.
