Science KS4 Lead Teacher required from September 2022
Have you been teaching science successfully for a few years? Are you looking to move into middle leadership? You could be just the person we need to join our school’s Science Department to inspire the next generation of scientists at Winchcombe School!
We are looking for a dynamic, specialist Teacher of Science to join us in September 2022 on a permanent full-time basis, to teach pupils of all abilities in KS3/KS4 and prepare them for GCSE (AQA) exams. You will have the additional responsibility of coordinating the KS4 science curriculum (TLR2A payment).
The Science Department has recently been extended as part of a wider school refurbishment, with the addition of two new science laboratories.
You’ll find that your new colleagues are friendly and supportive; our School has a good reputation locally - it is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted and is on a secure improvement trajectory.
The ideal candidate will, in addition to having the necessary teaching qualifications, be enthusiastic and an excellent communicator to motivate students to achieve their best.
Full details of the main duties and responsibilities of the post-holder are listed on Winchcombe School’s website together with a Person Specification (https://winchcombeschool.co.uk/science-teacher-2/).
Please apply using the school’s standard application form, which you will also find there. If you require more details, please email Mrs Kate Franklin, Business Manager – personnel@winchcombeschool.co.uk.
Closing date for applications is midnight on Sunday 22 May, with interviews on Wednesday 25 May.
