What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher to join the Science faculty to deliver high quality lessons across the Key Stages. If you are an excellent classroom practitioner, who is flexible, dedicated, and passionate about delivering exceptional learning experiences, then we want to hear from you.
This is an exciting time to be joining our Academy as we seek additional teachers to meet rapidly increasing student numbers. Paignton Academy is undergoing rapid improvement. Within the Academy two capital projects costing more than £4 million pounds have just been completed. The Academy has also recently undergone a superb transformation in September 2019 to facilitate students in years 7 to 11 across two sites.
The Science faculty is a friendly and innovative team. Our faculty enjoys excellent facilities, with recent investment in new labs, and provides its staff with a supportive, forward-thinking environment with plenty of opportunities for professional development. These range from our extensive ECT programme through to leadership progression opportunities within Paignton and across the Trust.
The successful candidate will be confident teaching Science from Key Stage 3 to GCSE and have a high level of subject expertise. They will work alongside other Science staff to plan, develop and deliver an engaging curriculum that achieves the best possible outcomes for all students
The successful candidate should have Qualified Teacher Status and have an up-to-date knowledge of developments in science. The post would equally suit an Early Career Teacher or experienced teacher.
