The Governors wish to appoint a well-qualified, innovative Teacher of Science. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly successful school. The post is fixed term, 0.8 FTE covering maternity leave.
The Science Faculty is a highly successful forward-looking faculty. Major responsibility is taken by the Faculty Leader supported by a Learning Leader at each Key Stage. The Science Faculty team currently consists of nine member of staff, three of which are part time, and in addition there is one full time and two part time Technicians. It is a very supportive Faculty, with eight laboratories and a number of preparation rooms.
The Faculty has a successful Key Stage 3 curriculum and teaches both Combined Science and Separate Sciences at GCSE.
The successful candidate will be able to teach Science up to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Essential educational requirements
Undergraduate Degree.
Essential qualifications
QTS must be held or due to be awarded prior to commencement of employment.
Essential skills and experience
Initial Teacher Training must be completed prior to commencement of employment.
