Science Technician job summary

We are looking for a Science Technician to join our forward thinking and supportive Science department.

The technician team supports teaching and learning of the science curriculum and as our Science Technician you would be preparing resources, constructing and modifying apparatus and carrying out appropriate safety checks. Your duties would also involve the preparation and delivery of demonstrations and student experiments, equipment maintenance, cleaning and stock taking.

Hours of work for the role will be 22.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days (39 working weeks per year).

About you

To succeed in this role you will have knowledge of the appropriate use of specialist equipment and the ability to communicate and demonstrate this knowledge effectively to staff and pupils. You will have a good standard of education with strong Science knowledge and excellent communication and organisational skills.
