Science Technician job summary
Required as soon as possible, an enthusiastic and innovative person to join a successful school which is committed to investing in all staff and encouraging every student to achieve excellence. This post is an exciting opportunity to join the school’s support team. The job entails providing technician support to the Science department across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Hours are 25 per week for 39 weeks per year.
To provide technical support in the Science department, carrying out work, up to and including GCSE standard.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• provision of practical requirements-apparatus, materials;
• maintenance of facilities and resources;
• organising and managing stock levels;
• technical advice and assistance;
• ensure Health & Safety requirements are adhered to e.g.
COSHH;
• providing classroom support to staff and pupils;
• providing general admin support for the department
